Power take-off
PTO
Power attachments are a key component of the compressor
MHS II Hydraulika SiĹowa recommends using only original power starters for each brand of truck respectively. It is possible to provide alternative power take-offs - not original, and therefore cheaper to purchase - in which case MHS II Hydraulika SiĹowa assumes no responsibility for such a product , for the gearbox and the car in which the customer will have such a power take-off installed.
PTO power
PTO power is usually given in units of [Nm] or [kW] . It is necessary to select the power attachment in such a way that it secures the power needed for the type of compressor, takes care of low fuel consumption as well as adequate compressor performance. On our website and on the websites of truck manufacturers and compressor manufacturers are described the sizes needed for proper selection of PTO
Translation
Gear ratio - the gear ratio can be increasing (e.g. 1-1.78) or decreasing (e.g. 1-0.92) for compressors, as a rule, the gear ratio is used to increase the speed. For each vehicle built in our company, we calculate the required speed of the attachment so that the engine during blowing works at low, even speed and the compressor with the appropriate efficiency.
Location
PTO position - this is a parameter that determines the position of the PTO flange to drive the compressor in relation to the longitudinal axis of the transmission - as a rule, the best are the attachments placed firmly to the right looking in the direction of travel and as far down as possible (sometimes the build requires the use of other PTO positions)
